THRIVE: Clubs & Activities Guide - Cake Decorating Club


Cake decorating club is full for Semester 1. You may add your name to the waiting list. 

Cake Decorating Club is for male and female students in Years 5 - 12 who would like to learn the basic skills of decorating celebration cakes. Students who have already attended can further develop their skills by learning new techniques in floral design and decorating. Students in Year 7 - 12 may enter their creations into the Hawkesbury Show which is held in May each year.

Wednesday afternoons 3:15 - 4:30 pm from week 3.

This Activity runs for one semester. (Term 1 & 2)

H8

LIMITED NUMBER

Only 20 STUDENTS per semester. 

What will students learn to do?

  • Use Fondant Icing

  • Create decorations for a celebration cake

  • Techniques used in making flowers from icing

  • Icing techniques

  • Eligible and quality Cakes will be entered in the Hawkesbury Show in May of each year.

Is there a cost?:

There is no cost for this Club.

Extra Information: 

  • Students will finish at 4:30 pm and will be walked to the front pick up area at this time. Students wishing to catch a bus to Riverstone Station after club must notify the school by lunch time on Wednesdays. 

  • As this Club has a waiting list please let Mrs Truman know if your student is no longer able or wishes to attend, so the place can be offered to others.

  • You are always welcome to come and check on your students' progress.
