DANCE
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from our Elite Pursuits Program. Recently, one of our talented students, Zoey, celebrated a huge success at the Australian Dance Festival.
The festival, which draws thousands of dancers from across Australia, also holds a unique competition called Dance Around the World where exceptional talent is selected by guest choreographers during a weekend of workshops. In total, 40 dancers are chosen from the thousands who attend the competition to compete in one of two divisions: Senior (15 years and up) and Rising Star (14 years and under).
We are proud to announce that Zoey was chosen at one of the workshops to compete in the Dance Around the World competition. She distinguished herself as a finalist from Day 1 and went on to compete with the Top 10 dancers selected for Day 2. We are delighted to report that Zoey was crowned the overall winner of the 14/U category, earning the prestigious title of Rising Star!
This exceptional achievement took place at the Quay Centre in Homebush, where her performance was witnessed by a captivated audience and judged by esteemed professionals, including representatives from Royal Caribbean, Claudia Dean and Eden Petrovski.
Congratulations Zoey! Your hard work, dedication, and talent have truly shone, and we look forward to seeing your continued success in the world of dance.
GYMNASTICS
Imogen recently competed in the Level 7 WAG State Division Three competition and achieved Gold on vault with a score of 12 out of 12.5. Her other apparatus didn’t go to plan but she (and ACC) are still proud of her one State Gold - well done Imogen!
TENNIS
EPP student Ethan recently won the U14s Junior Tour Finals Tennis Championships. An amazing achievement! We are all very proud Ethan, well done!
FINE ARTS
Year 9 EPP student Phoebe, at 14 years of age, is the youngest successful candidate enrolled at Sydney Art School in the Certificate IV in Visual Arts. She is currently studying at Sydney Art School two full days a week, having been enrolled in a one year full time course based on her audition, interview and talent. As well as completing two full days a week, much of her time is consumed in working on her assessments and painting for her upcoming exhibition.
Phoebe, along with some of her fellow art students, will be hosting their Art Exhibition. At this exhibition, Phoebe will be presenting the opening speech and have a few pieces of her art on display. Such wonderful achievements - well done Phoebe!
