Distance Education Update - 14 June 2024

Updated: Jun 14

DE HOLIDAY CONNECT

We have re-opened the booking portal for our DE Holiday Connect event! We have had a great response to our initial announcement but still have a few places available on both Wednesday 24 July and Thursday 25 July (with unlimited numbers on Friday 26 July for our exciting Luna Park excursion). CLICK HERE TO BOOK.

DE Holiday Connect is a three day event (Wednesday 24 July to Friday 26 July, 2024) designed for DE students to experience some fun activities together in person, meet their classmates and teachers, and take a break from online coursework.

DE students are encouraged to attend one or more of these days if they would like to connect with other DE families and teachers. The first two days are an opportunity for DE students to have a unique experience at the Marsden Park campus (while the On Campus students are on holidays). The third day is an exciting excursion to Luna Park, open to all DE students and their families.

And look out for an announcement soon about an opportunity for parents to connect while students are enjoying their On Campus days on 24 and 25 July.

We are looking forward to seeing many of our DE families in July!

PRIMARY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL Sarah Woolaston

We had an amazing turn out of Distance Education students at the Primary Athletics Carnival. The day was a fabulous mix of new friendships and new experiences as many DE students joined us at a school event for the first time.

Everyone put their best foot forward in all the events they participated in, running, jumping and throwing. The energy was electric as students cheered each other on, bringing out the best in one another. It was great to have a whole group of Elite Pursuit Program dancers joining us, looking very graceful in their long jumps. Special mention to Matthew Groves who made high jump look easy, soaring over the pole.

We would also like to say a big thank you to our DE parents and carers for giving their children the opportunity to be a part of the day. It was a beautiful day of community and connection for both the students and their families.
